Modded Minecraft- Space Station

Hello there!

Recently I've been playing some modded Minecraft- where community-made modifications add new items, blocks or mobs to the game. I've been playing with this one modpack (a giant collection of mods) called Attack of the B-Team with a few friends, and I've made something pretty cool.

I'm playing on Survival Mode on my server, where you have to gather resources and craft things together to make things, but I like to build the houses that I live inside of in Creative Mode, so I can go way out and make really awesome stuff without worrying about falling to my death or running out of building materials.

One of the mods in the modpack is called Galacticraft, and it allows you to create spaceships with the ability to go to space, the Moon, and even Mars. One of the options in the mod is to create a space  station, and I decided with a friend to create a cool space station to live on.

This is the birds-eye view of the main section of the space station. The solar panels on top are enough to power the life support system on the station, and there are several rooms used to a multitude of things.

Closest to the launch platform and right inside the airlock is the Armory- As well as me and the other friend who lives on the space station, there are a few others on the server, so we have a armory loaded with weapons, ammo and armor if we need to deploy somewhere quickly. My friend prefers the minigun with 50 rounds of explosive ammo.

This is the Hub- It is pretty barren, but it serves no real use other than as a crossroads to the other parts of the base. The teleport in the middle is where we enter the space station after taking off from Earth.

This is the Life Support room- Oxygen Collectors in the back collect oxygen from the plants in the room, while the Oxygen Sealers- well, seal- the entire space station so that you can breathe easily without a space suit. After I finished building the whole place, I had to go through and test the space station to make sure there were no leaks to the void where oxygen could escape. The batteries in the foreground store energy for nighttime, when the solar panels stop working.

This is also a pretty barren room as is, but this is where we store most of our supplies and manufacture and process ores. The machines in the background run off of steam power- Inefficient, but cheap- and are mostly used to process and smelt ores.

This is the farm dome, where animals are kept and bred. There's several farms of wheat and such below, and combined the animals and crops are enough to sustain the two of us. The two domes actually caused us the most trouble in terms of oxygen- The oxygen sealers were malfunctioning when it came to sealing the glass domes, so they both have their own independent oxygen supply created by plants on the dome.

The other glass dome, this is easily my favorite, both in terms of looks and function. Easily my favorite mod in the entire modpack is Witchery, a mod that allows you to explore the art of witchcraft through several branches of magic- with things from circle rituals, to brews made out of a variety of rare items and ingredients, to creating pacts with demons and imps, there's a whole bunch of cool stuff to do, especially when it comes to fighting other players. So yeah, I'm a space witch!

Lastly is the living quarters, pretty simple- This is my room, and the decorative mods in the pack really help to spice it up. Bibliocraft is a good mod.

This is the launch pad, where we can take off to the Moon or Mars. Using them to get to Earth is unnecessary- While not really realistic, you can jump off the space station and slowly drift down to Earth with your parachute. Fuel loaders automatically refuel the spaceships so they're always ready to go. And finally, to the latest and probably greatest part of the station!

This is the Orbital Mining Laser (O.M.L.), and is what provides us with all the resources we need without going back down to Earth. It automatically mines ores from the Earth, so there's no need to go down and mine in the caves. However, the free ores comes at a cost- The amount of energy required to power it is about 10 times more than we normally use, so much that it can only be turned on at brief intervals.

Similar to the main segment of the Space Station, it has its own life support system.

Most of the O.M.L. section is empty, not being completely finished, but this is the guts of it- The O.M.L.'s energy supply gets turned on and off from here.

(I'm not gonna lie, almost everything you see in that picture is useless. I could've made a straight line of red alloy wire from the lever down to the mining laser below, but hey, you gotta make stuff look cool.)

Well, that's it for now. I might make another post here if I make any major changes or add several new sections, but for now, that's it. See ya!
